Job Description
Job Title: Dental Hygienist
Job Location: Alaska
Type of Facility: IHS Facility (Indian Health Service)
Length of Assignment: 13 weeks
Start Date: Immediately
Work Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 7:30 AM - 6:00 PM
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of dental hygiene procedures, with a focus on periodontal care, maintenance, and scaling and root planing (SRP)
- Assist with room turnover, including sanitizing and preparing for the next patient
- Provide care to patients of all ages, with varying appointment durations based on age group
- Utilize the facility's Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system
- Manage a patient load of approximately 8 patients per day
- Collaborate with the existing staff to ensure seamless patient care
- Adapt to the facility's equipment and protocols
Requirements:
- Valid RDH license (Alaska license preferred but not required)
- Flexibility to work with patients of all ages
- Willingness to travel and work in an IHS facility
