Job Description
Job Title: Dental Hygienist
Job Location: New Mexico
Type of Facility: Health Center
Length of Assignment: 13 weeks
Start Date: Immediately
Work Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 8am-6:30pm or Monday-Friday, 8am-5pmÂ
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Assist in setting up and organizing the new dental department
- Provide dental hygiene services to tribal members of all ages
- Help with administrative tasks, including equipment setup and patient scheduling
- Support general dentistry procedures and molar endodontics
- Assist with extractions as needed
- Use Dentrix EMR system for dental records and RPMS, VPRM for scheduling
- Collaborate with the dental team (1 DMD/DDS, 1 RDH, 1 DA)
- Maintain a patient load of 4-8 per shift initially, with expected increase to 10 per day
Requirements:
- Valid state dental hygienist license
- Willingness to work in a rural setting
- Ability to adapt to a growing practice
