Job Description
Job Title: Dental Hygienist
Job Location: New York
Type of Facility: Private Dental Practice
Length of Assignment: 3-4 weeks (possible extension)
Start Date: Immediately
Work Schedule: Tuesday - Thursday, 7:45 AM - 5:00 PM
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Perform dental cleanings and examinations for patients of all ages
- Take and process dental x-rays, including full sets
- Conduct periodontal charting on a yearly basis
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and dental health
- Perform sealant applications and fluoride treatments
- Assist with scaling and root planing (SRP) procedures
- Manage patient flow in multiple operatories when needed
- Maintain a clean and sterile work environment
- Collaborate with the dentist and dental assistant
- Utilize Open Dental EMR system
Requirements:
- Active New York RDH license (temporary licenses available)
- Experience with handheld x-ray machines
- Flexibility to occasionally work Mondays or Fridays as needed
