Job Description
Job Title: Echo Tech
Job Location: Pennsylvania
Type of Facility: Children's Hospital and Specialty Care Center
Length of Assignment: 13 weeks
Start Date: Early July
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30a-5p
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Perform various modalities of cardiac ultrasound including transthoracic echo, stress echo, and assist in transesophageal echo
- Prepare preliminary interpretation reports, handle billing procedures, and manage study transmittal
- Cover satellite sites as needed
- Demonstrate advanced knowledge of pediatric echocardiography
- Meet daily volume expectations while adhering to lab standards
- Respond to emergent exams in a timely manner
- Ensure patient care is provided in a clean, safe, and secure environment
- Participate in staff meetings, research studies, and quality assurance activities
- Assist in teaching students, fellows, and new technicians
- Follow hospital and department-specific policies and procedures
- Travel to multiple work locations as required
Requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED
- Two (2) years of pediatric echocardiography experience (five years preferred)
- Advanced knowledge of ultrasound physics, cardiac anatomy, physiology, and pathology
- Proficiency in operating ultrasound equipment and digital reporting software
- Within 12 months of start date: RDCS-PE, RDCS-AE, RCS, or RCCS certification
- Ability to travel to multiple work locations
