Job Description
Job Title: Emergency Room Nurse
Job Location: California
Type of Facility: Community Hospital
Length of Assignment: 13 Weeks
Start Date: Immediately
Work Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 9:00 AM - 9:30 PM
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality nursing care in a fast-paced 18-bed Emergency Department
- Manage a patient ratio of 1:4 in a unit seeing 120-140 patients daily
- Collaborate with a team of 10 RNs, LVNs, ED Techs, and ED Registration Techs
- Report to the Charge Nurse and ED Manager
- Care for a diverse patient population ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics
- Perform triage, assessment, and treatment of emergency patients
- Administer medications and monitor patient conditions
- Assist with procedures and diagnostic tests as needed
Requirements:
- Active California RN license
- Minimum 1 year of ED nursing experience
- Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NIHSS
- Strong clinical skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
