Job Description

Job Title: Emergency Room Nurse

Job Location: California

Type of Facility: 36-bed Emergency Department

Start Date: Immediately

Work Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts per week, 11:00 AM - 11:00 PM


Roles and Responsibilities:

- Provide emergency nursing care to patients in a fast-paced environment

- Maintain a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio

- Perform full patient assessments, including in the waiting room during high-volume periods

- Assist with expediting patient visits and managing patient overflow

- Work in a stroke receiving center and handle various emergency cases

- Utilize Epic EMR system for patient documentation

- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals

- Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols, including COVID-19 isolation procedures

- Adapt to variable mid-shift schedules as needed

- Participate in the care of 220-250 patients per day in a facility handling 70,000 ED visits annually


Requirements:

- Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department experience

- California RN license

- BLS and ACLS certifications
