Job Description
Job Title: Emergency Room Nurse
Job Location: California
Type of Facility: Level 4 Trauma Center
Length of Assignment: 13 weeks
Start Date: Immediately
Work Schedule: 12 hour night shifts (7p - 7a) for 4 nights per week
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality emergency nursing care in a fast-paced environment
- Collaborate with a team including MICN Charge nurse, staff nurses, and triage nurse
- Care for diverse patient populations ranging from pediatric to geriatric
- Manage patient care within appropriate nurse-to-patient ratios
- Utilize Paragon EMR system for accurate documentation
- Participate in trauma care as part of a Level 4 Trauma Center team
- Adapt to varying patient volumes, typically 50-70 patients per day in the ED
- Work efficiently in an 8-bed emergency department
Requirements:
- Valid California RN license
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- TNCC certification preferred
- Flexibility to work night shifts and every other weekend
