Job Description

Job Title: Emergency Room Nurse (ER)

Job Location: California

Type of Facility: General Hospital, Level 4 Trauma Center

Length of Assignment: 13 weeks

Start Date: Immediately

Work Schedule: 12 hour night shifts (7 PM - 7 AM) for 3 nights per week


Roles and Responsibilities:

- Respond quickly and effectively to medical emergencies

- Perform rapid patient assessments and triage

- Treat critical injuries, allergic reactions, and trauma cases

- Conduct minor medical operations

- Clean and dress wounds

- Perform phlebotomy procedures

- Maintain emergency room care standards

- Assist with insurance paperwork

- Operate equipment including Alaris Pumps, GE monitors, bedside monitors, EKG monitors, rapid infusers, and basic pacemakers

- Potential float duties in Medical-Surgical, ICU, and Inpatient units

- Collaborate with a team of 12-14 nurses per shift


Requirements:

- Active California RN license

- ACLS, PALS, BLS, TNCC, and CEN certifications

- Minimum 3 years of ER experience (5 years preferred)

- Comfort with ICU and possible pediatric admissions
