Job Description

Job Title: Labor & Delivery Nurse

Job Location: North Dakota

Type of Facility: Hospital

Length of Assignment: 13 weeks

Start Date: Immediately

Work Schedule: 12 hour night shifts (6:30p - 7a) for 3 nights per week


Roles and Responsibilities:

- Provide care in Labor & Delivery, nursery, and postpartum units

- Attend to mothers and newborns during labor, delivery, and recovery

- Perform non-stress testing and manage rule-out labor cases

- Monitor fetal health using Obix fetal monitoring system

- Assist with C-sections in the dedicated suite

- Collaborate with physicians and alert them to any issues

- Utilize Epic EMR for documentation

- Adapt to a busy environment handling 5-10 deliveries per month

- Potentially assist in med-surg unit without patient assignment

- Participate in on-call shifts as needed


Requirements:

- Current compact state RN license

- Minimum 3-4 years of Labor & Delivery experience

- BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications

- Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Course certification

- Strong clinical skills in maternal and newborn care
