Job Description

Job Title: Labor and Delivery Nurse

Job Location: Washington

Type of Facility: Critical Access Hospital

Length of Assignment: 13 weeks

Start Date: Immediately

Work Schedule: 7pm to 7am, rotating weekends

Roles and Responsibilities:

- Provide skilled nursing care in pre-labor, labor, delivery, and postpartum settings

- Perform triage duties and conduct NSTs (Non-Stress Tests)

- Assist with patient education, discharge planning, and labor checks

- Monitor fetal and maternal well-being using specialized equipment

- Stabilize and prepare sick newborns for transfer when necessary

- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams

- Float to ICU, Med-Surg, or ER when needed, assisting with basic RN tasks

Requirements:

- Active Washington State Nursing License

- AWHONN, NRP, and BLS certifications (STABLE certification preferred)

- Experience in Labor and Delivery nursing

- Ability to work night shifts and rotating weekends
