Job Title: Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum Nurse

Job Location: Alaska

Type of Facility: Hospital

Length of Assignment: 13 Weeks

Start Date: Immediately

Work Schedule: 12 hour rotating night shifts (7p - 7a) for 3 nights per week, blocked schedule. At least one night of on-call

Roles and Responsibilities:

- Guide patients through the entire birthing process

- Perform baby IV starts

- Float to Medical-Surgical and Behavioral Health units when needed

- Provide care for pediatric to adult patients

- Maintain a patient ratio of 1:1 for OB and 3:1 for Medical-Surgical

- Collaborate with midwives and other OB RNs

- Utilize Epic EMR system

- Adapt to a low-volume birthing environment (20-40 births per year)

- Participate in on-call shifts

Requirements:

- Valid Alaska RN license

- Minimum of 1 year OB/LDRP experience

- BLS and AWHONN certifications required

- NRP, ACLS, PALS, and STABLE certifications preferred

- Flexibility to float to Medical-Surgical and Behavioral Health units

- Experience with pediatric to adult patients, including psychiatric care
