Job Description

Job Title: Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum Nurse

Job Location: Alaska

Type of Facility: Critical Access Hospital

Length of Assignment: 13 weeks

Start Date: Immediately

Work Schedule: 8am-6pm shifts for 4 days per week

Roles and Responsibilities:

- Provide comprehensive care for patients throughout the entire birthing process

- Assist in labor and delivery, recovery, and postpartum care

- Manage 20-30 births per month on average

- Maintain a 1:1 patient ratio

- Collaborate with a team of 2 other RNs

- Utilize Cerner EMR system for patient records and documentation

- Adhere to all safety protocols and best practices in obstetric care

- Provide care in both L&D and postpartum units

- Assist in nursery care as needed

Requirements:

- Minimum 2 years of experience in LDRP nursing

- Active Alaska RN license

- BLS, NRP, and Fetal Monitoring certifications required
