Job Description

Job Title: Medical Lab Scientist

Job Location: California

Type of Facility: Level 4 Trauma Center

Length of Assignment: 26+ weeks

Start Date: Immediately

Work Schedule: Wednesday-Saturday, 8pm-8am (Night shift, with potential for schedule flexibility)

Roles and Responsibilities:

- Perform a wide range of laboratory tests across multiple disciplines

- Float between different benches, including urology, cardiology, and respiratory

- Follow quality control and quality assurance protocols

- Maintain laboratory equipment

- Conduct tests for diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease

- Perform chemical analysis of body fluids

- Collect and study blood samples

- Analyze and verify test results

- Record results in patients' medical charts or files

- Operate various equipment 

- Work collaboratively with other professionals during night shifts

Requirements:

- California state license

- ASCP certification preferred

- Minimum 3 years of experience

- Experience with microbiology is highly desirable
