Job Description

Job Title: Medical Surgical Nurse (MedSurg)

Job Location: Michigan

Type of Facility: 24-bed Critical Access Hospital, Trauma Level IV

Length of Assignment: 13 weeks

Start Date: Immediately

Work Schedule: 12 hour night shifts (7 PM - 7 AM) for 3 nights per week

Roles and Responsibilities:

- Perform triage and assessment of patients in the emergency department

- Provide comprehensive emergency nursing care for patients of all ages (pediatric to geriatric)

- Handle a patient load of 6-18 patients per day

- Utilize CPSI (TruBridge) EMR system for patient documentation

- Operate various medical equipment, including Panda warmers

- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient care

- Adhere to all hospital policies and safety protocols

- Assist in other departments as needed, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork

- Respond quickly and effectively to emergency situations

Requirements:

- Valid Michigan RN license

- Minimum 2 years of experience

- ACLS, PALS, and BLS certifications
