Job Description

Job Title: Mother and Infant (Post-partum) Nurse

Job Location: Missouri

Type of Facility: 200-bed Rural Hospital

Length of Assignment: 13 weeks

Start Date: Immediately

Work Schedule: 12 hour night shifts (7p - 7a) for 3 nights per week

Roles and Responsibilities:

- Provide comprehensive care for mothers and newborns in a postpartum setting

- Work in a unit with 4 Labor/Delivery/Recovery suites and 11 postpartum rooms

- Assist in the Level II nursery for higher level of care when needed

- Support C-section procedures in the unit's dedicated OR

- Promote and assist with breastfeeding support for new mothers

- Encourage rooming-in practices

- Adapt to variable birthing volumes, with typically no more than 4-5 C-sections per month

Requirements:

- Current Compact RN license or Missouri state license

- Minimum of 1 year experience in Mother Baby or related areas

- Previous travel nursing experience strongly preferred

- ACLS, BLS, and NRP certifications

- Ability to work night shifts

- Flexibility to adapt to varying patient volumes and needs
