Job Description

Job Title: Nurse Manager

Job Location: New Jersey

Type of Facility: Psychiatric Hospital

Length of Assignment: 13-26 weeks

Start Date: Immediately

Work Schedule: 40 hours per week, primarily day shifts with some flexibility for off-hours visibility

Roles and Responsibilities:

- Oversee entire nursing department, including 100 RNs and ancillary staff

- Manage two nursing directors who report directly to the CNO

- Implement and advance the facility's 2025 strategic plans

- Lead preparation for upcoming Joint Commission accreditation

- Ensure proper functioning of all nursing units and services

- Collaborate with facility leadership and multidisciplinary teams

- Provide visibility and leadership during both regular and off-hours

- Drive quality improvement initiatives and maintain regulatory compliance

- Participate in hiring, training, and development of nursing staff

- Manage budgets and resources effectively

Requirements:

- Current New Jersey RN license

- Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) required

- Extensive experience in psychiatric nursing leadership

- Strong understanding of Joint Commission standards and accreditation processes
