Job Description

Job Title: Nurse Manager

Job Location: Washington

Type of Facility: 25-bed Critical Access Hospital

Length of Assignment: 13 weeks

Start Date: Mid May

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8-hour shifts

Roles and Responsibilities:

- Oversee operations of Medical/Surgical, Emergency, and Surgery departments

- Interview and hire department staff as needed

- Manage timecards and maintain staff schedules

- Develop and manage departmental budgets

- Maintain appropriate supply levels across departments

- Enforce facility protocols and procedures

- Provide leadership and guidance to nursing staff

- Ensure high-quality patient care across all supervised units

- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes

- Utilize Epic EMR system for documentation and management tasks

- Adapt to floating between Medical/Surgical, Emergency, and Surgery units as needed

Requirements:

- Valid Washington State RN license

- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications

- 3+ years of nursing leadership experience preferred

- Strong organizational and communication skills

- Ability to work independently and lead diverse teams

- Experience with budgeting and staff management
