Job Description

Job Title: Operating Room Nurse (OR)

Job Location: New York

Type of Facility: Carthage Area Hospital (Level III Emergency Department)

Length of Assignment: 13 weeks

Start Date: Immediately

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Roles and Responsibilities:

- Provide nursing care in a 4-room Operating Room, primarily for outpatient procedures and infusions

- Assist in 11 ambulatory surgery beds and PACU

- Maintain a patient ratio of 1:1 or 1:2

- Participate in on-call rotations (typically 1 weeknight per week and 1 weekend per month)

- Provide holiday coverage as required

- Utilize CPSI electronic medical record system

- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams

- Ensure patient safety and comfort during surgical procedures

- Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control guidelines

- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records

Requirements:

- Active New York State RN license

- ACLS, PALS, and BLS certifications

- CNOR certification preferred

- Operating Room experience required

- Ability to work with patients of all ages
