Job Description

Job Title: Physical Therapist (PT)

Job Location: North Carolina

Type of Facility: Acute Care Hospital with Nursing Home

Length of Assignment: 13 Weeks

Start Date: Late April

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM


Roles and Responsibilities:

- Conduct physical therapy evaluations and establish care plans

- Provide treatment in various settings including patient rooms, hallways, outdoor areas, and rehab gym

- Assist with rounds and care conferences as needed

- Maintain frequent communication with the rehab team regarding patient progress

- Identify and recommend necessary equipment and discharge needs

- Work with a diverse patient population across 24 acute/swing beds, 40 nursing home beds, and 10 skilled beds

- Utilize Cerner and NetHealth EMR systems

- Collaborate within a multidisciplinary rehab department (PT/OT/SLP)


Requirements:

- Active North Carolina PT license

- Current CPR certification

- Minimum 1 year of experience (3+ years preferred in a medical setting)

- Experience in hospital and/or nursing home settings

- Proficiency with typical rehab equipment
