Job Description
Job Title: Primary Care Nurse
Job Location: Nebraska
Type of Facility: Outpatient Primary Care Clinic
Length of Assignment: 13-26 weeks
Start Date: Immediately
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Participate in daily 8 AM huddles with doctors
- Prepare examination rooms and run patient vitals
- Provide patient education and handle discharge procedures
- Manage 6-10 patients per day (maximum 12)
- Collaborate with a team of 1 MD in Internal Medicine, 2 Primary Care MD/APPs, and 1-2 nurses per provider
- Utilize RPMS electronic medical record system
- Operate standard IV and EKG equipment
- Assist in stabilizing patients for rare emergency transfers to nearby trauma hospital
- Provide culturally sensitive care
Requirements:
- Active RN license (any state)
- BLS certification (ACLS preferred but not required)
- 2+ years of experience (IHS experience preferred)
- Ability to work in a remote location
