Job Description
Job Title: Respiratory Therapist
Job Location: Colorado
Type of Facility: Rural Critical Access Hospital
Length of Assignment: 13 weeks
Start Date: Late January
Work Schedule: 3 days/week, 12-hour shifts (6:30 AM - 7:00 PM), and some occasional call coverage
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Provide respiratory care services in the ER and Long-Term Care units
- Manage ventilators and assist with intubated patients
- Respond to on-call emergencies, primarily in the ER
- Work independently during on-call shifts
- Treat primarily geriatric patients with conditions such as heart attacks, strokes, and COPD
- Operate Hamilton C1 and Philips equipment
- Assist with patient transport coordination to larger facilities when necessary
Requirements:
- 1-2 years of experience, with ability to work independently
- RRT certification
- BLS, ACLS, NRP, and PALS certifications
- Valid Colorado Respiratory Therapy license
