Job Description

Job Title: Respiratory Therapist

Job Location: Connecticut

Type of Facility: Small Community Hospital

Length of Assignment: 13 weeks

Start Date: Mid February

Work Schedule: 4 12-hour shifts per week, flexible between 7AM-10PM (days/evenings)


Roles and Responsibilities:

- Provide respiratory care in ER, ICU, and two med-surg departments

- Manage adult patients with varying respiratory needs

- Operate ServoU v60 BiPAP and Aervo HI flow equipment

- Implement therapist-driven protocols

- Collaborate with permanent staff across departments

- Assist with ventilator management (up to two vents simultaneously)

- Utilize MediTech EMR for patient documentation

- Participate in the child birth center with NRP certification (can be obtained if needed)

- Adapt to flexible scheduling within 7AM-10PM timeframe

- Ensure proper patient care and communication throughout shifts


Requirements:

- Current Connecticut Respiratory Therapist license

- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist

- BLS certification (ACLS not required)

- NRP certification (or willingness to obtain for child birth center)
