Job Description

Job Title: Respiratory Therapist

Job Location: Illinois

Type of Facility: Hospital with Level 3 Trauma Center

Length of Assignment: 13 weeks

Start Date: Immediately

Work Schedule: 12 hour shifts (7a - 7p) for 3 days per week

Roles and Responsibilities:

- Provide respiratory care in ICU, ER, and ACU departments

- Perform oxygen rounds and respiratory treatments

- Respond to code blue and rapid response calls

- Manage ventilators, bypads, and optiflow devices

- Care for patients ranging from neonatal to geriatric

- Utilize Meditech EMR for documentation

- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team

- Adapt to varying patient loads (8-15 patients per day depending on unit)

- Maintain flexibility in scheduling and float assignments

Requirements:

- Current Illinois Respiratory Therapist license (CRT or RRT)

- BLS, ACLS, NRP, and PALS certifications

- Minimum of 2 years experience as a Respiratory Therapist

- Ventilator experience required

- Neonatal and pediatric experience preferred
