Job Description

Job Title: Respiratory Therapist

Job Location: Illinois

Type of Facility: Skilled Nursing Facility

Length of Assignment: 13 weeks

Start Date: Immediately

Work Schedule: 12 hour night shifts (6:30p - 6:30a) for 3-4 nights per week (rotating)

Roles and Responsibilities:

- Provide respiratory care to geriatric patients (ages 65+) in a skilled nursing unit

- Manage ventilators and perform patient follow-ups

- Administer breathing treatments and provide patient education

- Monitor life support systems and conduct diagnostic testing

- Collaborate with pulmonologists, physicians, nurses, and CNAs

- Manage 10-12 patients per 12-hour shift

- Utilize Matrix EMR system for documentation

- Operate BiPAP and CPAP equipment

- Participate in 30-minute shift handoffs with day shift RRTs

- Adhere to all facility policies and procedures

Requirements:

- Active Illinois Respiratory Therapy license

- RRT preferred

- BLS certification

- Ability to work night shifts and rotating schedules
