Respiratory Therapist – New York

Job Description

Job Title: Respiratory Therapist

Job Location: New York

Type of Facility: Hospital

Length of Assignment: 13 weeks

Start Date: Immediately

Work Schedule: 11 AM - 11 PM shifts for 3 days per week

Roles and Responsibilities:

- Provide respiratory care throughout the hospital, including ICU, ER, and Medical-Surgical units

- Manage ventilators, including CERVO I's, LTV's 1200S, BELLA VISTA'S 1000S

- Administer nebulizer therapy

- Care for primarily adult patients, with occasional triage of pediatric cases

- Typically manage 3-4 ventilated patients per shift

- Collaborate with a team of 1-2 therapists during shifts

- Utilize McKesson EMR system

- Adapt to floating throughout the entire hospital as needed

- Maintain accuracy and efficiency in all respiratory care procedures

Requirements:

- At least 2 years of experience in respiratory therapy

- Current New York state license

- BLS and ACLS certifications
