Job Description
Job Title: Respiratory Therapist
Job Location: South Dakota
Type of Facility: Critical Access Hospital
Length of Assignment: 13 weeks
Start Date: Immediately
Work Schedule: 10-hour shifts (6:30 AM - 5:00 PM) for 4 days per week
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Provide respiratory care to patients of all age ranges, from neonates to geriatrics
- Attend deliveries and work with neonatal patients
- Manage BiPAP and CPAP patients
- Operate Drager ventilators when necessary (intubation experience not required)
- Perform pulmonary function tests (PFT experience is a plus)
- Cover various areas of the facility, including ED, L&D, and floors
- Participate in on-call shifts
- Work with Epic EMR system
- Collaborate with a team of two other respiratory therapists
Requirements:
- Valid South Dakota Respiratory Therapy license
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications
- Comfort working with all age ranges
- No minimum years of experience required, but neonatal experience is essential
