Job Description

Job Title: Respiratory Therapist

Job Location: Texas

Length of Assignment: 13 Weeks

Start Date: Mid April

Work Schedule: 3-4 night shifts (12 hours each), 6:45 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend


Roles and Responsibilities:

- Assess, treat, manage, control, diagnostically evaluate, and care for patients with pulmonary system deficiencies and abnormalities

- Utilize medical gases, administration apparatus, ventilatory support, humidification, aerosols, medication, broncho-pulmonary drainage, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and airway management

- Perform specific techniques including measurement of ventilatory volumes, pressures, flows, airway care, track changes, suctioning, sputum collection, arterial puncture, and blood gas analysis

- Provide care to patients of varying ages with age-related needs

- Work closely with patients, ensuring constant care during treatment


Requirements:

- 1+ years of experience (training can be provided)

- Graduate of a CoARC approved respiratory care 2-year program

- RRT, BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and STABLE certifications (NPS preferred)

- Valid RCP Texas license
