Job Description

Job Title: Respiratory Therapist

Job Location: Washington

Type of Facility: 25-bed Critical Access Hospital

Length of Assignment: 13 weeks

Start Date: Immediately

Work Schedule: 3 x 12-hour night shifts (6 PM - 6 AM)


Roles and Responsibilities:

- Provide respiratory care in various units including ED, CCU, Medical-Surgical Unit, Operating Rooms, and Family Birthing Unit

- Manage ventilators and high-flow oxygen therapy

- Respond to emergencies in the ED

- Perform EKGs when needed

- Attend all codes

- Conduct arterial blood gas analyses

- Monitor ventilator patients (no long-term vents)

- Cover the entire facility, requiring experience in all units

- Work with patients ranging from neonates to 100+ years old

- Utilize Cerner EMR system


Requirements:

- Current Washington state license

- ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NRP certifications with at least 6 months experience in each

- Comfortable working solo shifts

- Experience in ED, ventilators, critical care, medical-surgical unit, family birthing, and neonates

- Ability to work independently
