Sleep Technologist – Maryland

Job Description

Job Title: Sleep Technologist

Job Location: Maryland

Type of Facility: University Hospital Sleep Center

Length of Assignment: 8-13 weeks

Start Date: Immediately

Work Schedule: 8p - 6a night shifts for 4 nights per week

Roles and Responsibilities:

- Conduct sleep studies for both pediatric and adult patients

- Maintain a patient ratio of 2:1 for pediatric patients and 3:1 for adult patients

- Perform 100% measurements on patients

- Operate Sandman Sleep equipment

- Use Somnoware software for sleep study analysis and reporting

- Score sleep studies accurately and efficiently

- Collaborate with one other technologist during shifts

- Adapt to potential overtime opportunities

- Maintain accurate and timely patient records

- Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare team members

Requirements:

- Current Maryland RPSGT license

- RPSGT certification

- Minimum 2 years of experience

- Experience in scoring sleep studies

- Ability to work night shifts and adapt to a sleep lab environment
