Job Description
Job Title: Social Worker
Job Location: Minnesota
Type of Facility: Psychiatric Treatment Center for Adolescents
Length of Assignment: 26 weeks
Start Date: Early June
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm (with some flexibility)
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of 5-8 youth (ages 8-17) on the autism spectrum, including verbal and non-verbal patients
- Conduct two 30-minute individual therapy sessions per week for each patient
- Facilitate one 1-hour family therapy session per week for each patient
- Lead one 30-minute group therapy session per week
- Update treatment plans monthly and make necessary adjustments
- Attend clinical meetings and rounds to determine patient needs
- Communicate with families and provide feedback on treatment plans
- Assist in crisis management when needed
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including mental health clinicians, RNs, and case managers
- Utilize the Welligent EMR system for documentation
- Participate in the facility's in-house restraint system training
Requirements:
- Minnesota LCSW, LPCC, or LMSW license (LCSW or LPCC preferred)
- Master's degree in social work or related field
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience
- Comfort working with adolescents, including those who are non-verbal
- Ability to adapt to an ABA model treatment approach
- CPR/BLS certification (provided by the facility)
