Surgical Technician – Washington

Job Description

Job Title: Surgical Technician

Job Location: Washington

Type of Facility: Outpatient Surgical Center

Length of Assignment: 13 weeks

Start Date: Late March

Work Schedule: 8 hour shifts for 5 days per week, or 12 hour shifts for 3 days per week

Roles and Responsibilities:

- Prepare the operating room for surgical procedures

- Assist in patient preparation for surgery

- Support the surgical team during procedures

- Account for and manage surgical instruments

- Ensure proper sterilization of equipment and instruments

- Maintain a 1:4 patient ratio

- Possibly float to medical-surgical unit if needed

- Utilize Cerner EMR system

- Provide care to patients 18 years and older

Requirements:

- 2+ years of experience

- Active Washington state license or Compact

- ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications
